Bluehost Web Hosting Review

Bluehost Reviews

One of the biggest web hosting firms in the world is called Bluehost. Bluehost is estimated to be either the third, fourth, or fifth largest web host in the world, excluding infrastructure companies like AWS or Google Cloud. Currently, GoDaddy is the biggest web hosting company in the world. HostGator, DreamHost, iPage, and 1&1 Ionos are further significant participants in the sector.

The business is headquartered in Provo, Utah, and was established in 2003. All of the servers are managed by Bluehost. Bluehost has more control over service quality elements including load times, downtime, site backup and recovery, and physical access security in its data centers since it manages its own infrastructure, which fosters responsibility.

A division of Endurance International Group, which also owns competing web hosting businesses, is Bluehost. The company also owns iPage, HostGator, Apollo Hosting, DomainHost, HostMonster, and HostGator.

Security features:

Account Security:

User credentials are used to safeguard every hosting account. Even though shared hosting plans place multiple users on the same server, no account holder can access the operating system to invade another user’s file space.

Content protection

The free SSL certificate supplied with all shared hosting plans is the major security element to remember for hosted websites.

There are additional fees for Bluehost’s additional website security features. Which are:

  • CodeGuard Basic: The site recovers on demand and automatically every day. $2.99 per month is the cost.
  • SiteLock Essential: A service that scans for malware. Pricing for the selected plan period is $2.99 per month, and the renewal price is $5.99 per month.

Domain owner privacy:

By selecting an additional privacy feature, domain name purchases and even the free domain name supplied with each hosting plan can be made safer. Domain Privacy and Protection is this. A domain name must have a publicly accessible name and address in order to be registered. For a charge, Bluehost will substitute the name and address of a nominee company for those of the real owner in order to conceal the identity of the purchase.

Bluehost shared hosting plans and pricing

There are four Bluehost plans for shared hosting. These are:

  • Basic Plan – Rs. 169/month.
  • Plus Plan – Rs. 279/month
  • Choice Plus Plan – Rs. 279/month
  • Pro Plan – Rs. 479/month

The headline price displayed for each plan is the most affordable pricing offered. However, to receive that pricing, new customers must sign up for a three-year service. Even though it says “per month,” the price is actually a calculated pricing indicator. In fact, there are no monthly payment options available, and customers must pay upfront for the whole service duration.

Marketing and SEO features:

Each plan receives a coupon for $100 in Microsoft Advertising marketing credit and another for Google ads. Each of those services requires the customer to create an account, and the credit is only credited until the customer spends at least $25 through each system. The Bluehost web hosting provider also offers a step-by-step tutorial for verifying a company on Google My Business, which results in the establishment of a site marker for the company on Google Maps.

Bluehost customer support:

The website console provides access to Bluehost‘s customer service department. A question mark within a circle serves as the link to the support services.

Bluehost knowledge base:

The Customer Support home page, which is dominated by the search field for the service’s knowledge base, is reached by clicking on the icon.

Following the search field are a number of expandable themes that list FAQs and articles. Each topic also provides a live chat window and a phone number for the help center. Only Americans from the United States can call that number. A few topics also provide access to video guides on how to solve issues.

Bluehost live chat support:

The conversation bubble can be clicked to launch a pop-up chat window. To ask a question, the user must first input a topic and detail section. The chat window will make an initial effort to address the issue by presenting a list of pertinent knowledge-base articles. The user has the option to start a chat session by clicking a button if that doesn’t work.

Conclusion:

One of the best in the industry is Bluehost’s live chat support staff. However, one criticism is that the technician tried to upsell throughout the contact period, such as by signing up for the CodeGuard premium add-on backup service.
